In the range of products insulated with fluorinated polymer FEP, ICC also offers cURus (Recognized Component for US & Canada) certified cables: AWM STYLE 1330 1332 1900 1901.
In addition to an excellent resistance to heat and tear, the FEP insulation guarantees other relevant features:
- High electrical properties, allowing to provide very small thickness, designated for miniaturized connections;
- Excellent resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents;
Non-flammability - These cables are designed for different fields of application. The use is advised for particular applications that require high performance in terms of thermal, mechanical and chemical agents’ resistance.
In the automotive field these cables are chosen for their good resistance to heat and chemical agents, guaranteed by the insulating material: they are particularly suitable for use in the engine compartment. They are also widely used for lights and sensors connections.
In the electrical appliances and lighting systems, the benefit of these products is given in particular by the possible miniaturized dimensions, a feature that is highly requested in these fields.
These type of cables can be used in small and large cooking appliances, lighting systems, sensors and ignition systems.
ICC proposal also includes FEP cables with bi-color insulation.
