Young talent in business: Building the Future Today

Two students from the University of Bergamo, Alessia Zamboni and Federica Vicini, recently did their curricular internship at our headquarters in Bolgare.

The experience is an integral part of the development of their respective dissertations and provided an opportunity to turn into practice the theory learned in the classroom.

Sales process optimization: Alessia’s project

Alessia focused on analyzing the sales process, with the goal of identifying and proposing improvements consistent with the new business strategy. She introduced an innovative approach, applying tools typically used in manufacturing to the sales context. Alessia in a short time integrated perfectly into a structured work environment, finding cooperation and helpfulness from her colleagues and co-workers. The experience has proved to be a valuable opportunity for her growth, both personal and professional.

Strategic analysis and market study: Federica’s project

Federica’s thesis project came at a relevant corporate moment, namely the development of the new 2025-2029 corporate strategic plan.

Federica provided concrete input in the analysis of the industry and key competitors, and also processed data on cables, connections and cablings sectors, with the aim of identifying market trends useful to support business decisions. Supported by the Management Control team, she also experimented with the use of business intelligence software, developing technical and analytical skills. An experience that was as challenging as formative, allowing her to delve into the internal dynamics of a structured and constantly evolving company.

The feedback from the protagonists

Alessia gratefully recalls the welcome she received, “I always felt I was in the right place to learn and grow. People here were able to destroy the prejudice about the role of the intern, always proving to be open to discussion and dialogue.”

According to Federica, “the internship experience was meaningful and challenging, a concrete opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to a real-world context, maturing professionally and gaining awareness of business and industry dynamics.”

Collaborations that enhance young talent

Alessia and Federica’s experiences represent a positive example of university-business collaboration, where openness to young people’s contributions results in the exchange of skills, innovation and concrete training.

A model that shows how the working world can become fertile ground for the development of new generations.
