HOW ICC CABLES ARE TESTED: BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR LABORATORY

Every cable requires a rigorous testing process. At ICC, safety, reliability, and precision are not just promises: they are the result of meticulous procedures based on objective data.

We invite you to go behind the scenes of our technical laboratory to discover our commitment to delivering superior-quality products that remain safe and reliable over the long term. You will see how we carry out more than 100 tests every day, from the careful analysis of raw materials to the testing of finished products.

FROM RAW MATERIALS TO PRE-PRODUCTION

Our quality control process begins even before the cable takes shape. We conduct thorough chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products to verify their exact composition and ensure they meet the required key properties.

During the critical pre-production phase, we prepare laboratory-scale compounds to simulate manufacturing processes, testing different formulations to optimize overall performance. At this stage, we also verify cable diameter settings to ensure full compliance with industry standards and lay the foundations for flawless industrial-scale production.

PRECISION AND CONTROL THROUGHOUT PRODUCTION

To ensure consistent quality, we carry out continuous in-line testing at every stage of the manufacturing process. These stringent checks include:

  • Cable diameter measurement and control.
  • Continuous insulation integrity testing.

In parallel, we perform rigorous off-line tests on our products. These include dynamic bending and torsion tests, which are essential for assessing mechanical strength, as well as advanced 3D imaging analysis of the cable cross-section.

POST-PRODUCTION TESTING: PUTTING OUR CABLES TO THE TEST

We verify the strength, durability, and performance of our cables by pushing them to their operational limits. Every product must demonstrate its ability to withstand the most demanding conditions, including:

  • High temperatures of up to 250°C.
  • Extreme cold, down to -80°C.
  • Rigorous fire resistance tests.
  • Aging tests to verify long-term reliability.
