ICC has officially expanded its offering dedicated to industrial automation by obtaining new UL Style certifications that elevate the quality standards of cables for dynamic applications. This achievement is not just a certification milestone, but above all a strategic step forward in the company’s ability to meet the needs of a market increasingly focused on high performance, operational continuity, and global safety.
An evolution built on ICC existing UL expertise
UL certification is not new to ICC: many CONTROL and SERVO MOTOR cables were already available with UL approvals, featuring different insulating materials and thermal ratings up to 80°C for PP/PUR versions.
The news is that ICC has successfully passed the updated tests required by the certification body, obtaining additional UL Styles that enable the production of cables with PP/PUR insulation/jackets and a guaranteed operating temperature of 90°C.
This upgrade allows ICC to effectively meet the growing demand for high-performance cables used in industrial machinery and advanced automation systems.
A broader product range
Thanks to the tests successfully passed, ICC can now offer the following newly certified cables:
● UL STYLE 11657 / 21209 for PP/PUR versions
● UL STYLE 11657 / 21179 for PP/PVC versions
This represents a true extension of the product range for SERVO MOTOR and CONTROL cables, particularly suited for flexible installation in industrial environments.
Many modern applications require thermal resistance up to 90°C – a requirement that ICC can now officially and reliably guarantee for materials such as PP/PUR, ensuring optimal performance in dynamic uses.
To make the offering clearer and more distinctive, the new certified products have been renamed as follows:
● CONTROL 1300 H UL – AWM STYLE 11657/21209
● CONTROL 1300 H-SC UL – AWM STYLE 11657/21209
● SERVO 1100 F UL – AWM STYLE 11657/21179
● SERVO 1100 D UL – AWM STYLE 11657/21179
● SERVO 1100 H UL – AWM STYLE 11657/21209
A naming system designed to make navigating the product range easier and to reinforce the identity of solutions intended for dynamic applications.
Why this is a market advantage
Modern industrial machinery requires increasingly high performance: higher currents, continuous cycles, and harsher environments.
The UL 90°C range has been developed precisely to meet this evolution.
Key benefits:
● Higher thermal resistance for complex applications and severe operating conditions
● Increased current-carrying capacity, especially for SERVO cables with PP insulation
● Materials specifically certified: PP for UL 11657 and PUR for UL 21209
● Compatibility with PVC jackets, already part of ICC UL-certified portfolio
This expansion is not an isolated development but the reinforcement of a clear strategy: offering a complete and reliable range of cables for industrial automation.
The introduction of the new cables integrates seamlessly with ICC existing offering, strengthening an already mature portfolio and positioning it to meet future market needs.
The new certification therefore represents much more than a formal update: it allows ICC to position itself as an even more reliable partner for those seeking robust, certified solutions capable of meeting the challenges of next-generation automation.
